NCA Accreditation/AdvancED Standards Assessment In April 2006, the North Central Association Commission on Accreditation and School Improvement (NCA CASI), the Southern Association of College and Schools Council on Accreditation and School Improvement (SAC CASI), and the National Study of School Evaluation (NSSE) came together to form a unified organization under the name AdvancED. The accreditation process is based on a five-year term accreditation. The process helps focus schools on a continuous process of improvement, providing external checks, support, and feedback to help schools continuously improve. Through the accreditation process, the school staff continuously reviews the standards and indicators to ensure that the standards are being met and to identify areas that the school may need to strengthen or improve.
